I missed it yesterday. Metallica released a new song from their new album. I guess they'd call it the first single:

Sounds like a cross between old school Metallica (pre-1991) and Load-era stuff. Not too shabby. Pretty good, if it's 1991. But musically I think I've moved on a bit from thrash metal. It's still cool to listen to, but I'm not sure I'll be buying the new album. Maybe I'll do the Amazon mp3 download again like I did with Isis.
