Alex: Fun at school today!
Me: You had fun! Wow! What did you do at school?
Alex: I draw railroad crossing!
Me: That's so cool! (Turns to wife who proudly displayed the artwork he did)
On the bad part I either got what wife has or picked up something from Portland so I had a sore throat and now a cough. Unfortunately I have a huge craving for an ice cream cone. Maybe I'll have it and suffer the consequences. It's not like it's going to make the cough go away any faster.
Anyway, I'm sure work is going to be absolutely crazy tomorrow. Maybe if I eat the ice cream now and I cough really badly tomorrow I'll get sent home for being a biohazard :P

We're finally home from New Orleans and safe but not exactly unscathed. I'm not scared of flying but I'm very susceptible to motion sickness. The thing is that if the plane does not encounter any turbulence than I'm perfectly fine, but as soon as the bumpy ride start my stomach goes haywire. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of turbulence over Texas, which made me very sick. Even now on the ground the room is still spinning. Christine isn't doing much better. She inherited a condition from her mother's side where her left ear's Eustachian tube doesn't drain correctly, and it started acting up this morning. So the room is also spinning for her too, but in a direction different from my spin. I think I'm spinning around and she is yawing to the side. Yikes!
Of course, on top of all this Alex took 2 hrs worth of nap and is very happy and energetic. We have no choice but to dope him up with TV.
But at least I'm home. If I need to have intimate contact with my gastric juices, I can do so in the comfort of my own bathroom.
